C-TPAT - Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, to be exact, is the program introduced by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) after September 11,2001 attacks. C-TPAT recognizes that CBP can provide the highest level of cargo security only through close cooperation with the ultimate owners of the international supply chain such as importers, manufacturers, exporters, customs brokers , consolidators and carriers.
