As a company that handles personal information in relation to its business activities (international transport, domestic transport, warehousing, and incidental businesses), International Express Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") recognizes the importance of the protection of personal information, and commits itself to appropriately treat personal information and manage its security during use of personal information for business activities.
The Company formulates the following Personal Information Protection Policy as the fundamental policy for the protection of personal information, announces the policy to all its employees and the public, and implements and maintains the policy:
- The Company shall obtain personal information on a person only after informing the person of the objectives fair and legal with according to regulation.
- The Company shall use obtained personal information only within the scope of the specified objectives, such as legal business activities, employment, and personnel management. The Company shall not use personal information for any other objectives without consent of the person concerned.
- The Company shall take appropriate security management measures to prevent personal information from being leaked, lost, destroyed by unauthorized persons. Should a trouble occur accidentally, the Company will immediately take necessary measures to minimize its influence and eliminate its cause.
- The Company shall comply with all laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal information.
- The Company formulates its Personal Information Protection Management System and continues improving the activities to protect personal information according to the program.
- The Company educates and trains its employees on the protection of personal information, and appoints personal information protection manager for steady management of personal information.
- The Company sets up an inquiry office as described below to respond to the inquiries about the personal information retained by the Company. If the inquiry office is requested by a person to disclose, correct, delete, disuse or provide the person's personal information, the inquiry office will respond to the request after identifying the person through a prescribed procedure.

- Purpose of obtaining and using personal information
The Company obtains personal information only for achieving the following objectives:
- International transport, domestic transport, warehousing, and incidental businesses and notification of new services
- Response to inquiry about business activities
- Employment of workers and personnel management
- Recruitment and selection activities
- Entrusting of the handling of personal information
The Company may entrust the handling of personal information in part to entrustees for smooth implementation of business activities if the Company determines that entrusting is appropriate from the aspect of the protection of personal information.
- Provision of personal information to a third party
The Company does not provide obtained personal information to third parties without consent of the person concerned except the case in which the Company is requested to provide personal information according to law or the Company provides personal information as the statistical data disabling personal identification.
- Disclosure, correction, deletion, disuse, and provision of personal information
If the Company is requested by a person to disclose, correct, delete, disuse, or provide the person's personal information obtained by the Company, the Company will promptly respond to the request after identifying the person through a prescribed procedure. Such requests will be received at the inquiry office described below.
*The Personal Information Protection and Complaints Office of the Company receives complaints and inquiries about the Company's handling of personal information. The Personal Information Protection and Complaints Office responds to all inquiries received.
